Castle of Ibiza

Amazing island Ibiza, better known as Ibiza is a true paradise. But holidaymakers can visit here not only beautiful beaches and dance clubs. At the highest point of the island is a noble monument of medieval Islamic architecture - Castel.

The medieval Muslim castle was originally a fortress defensive purposes. Nowadays Castel hides only small house quiet residential streets. The centuries-old walls affects its strength and greatness. With the towers of the castle, you can see the entire residential area of the island. The castle is open Archaeological Museum, the exhibition which covers six historical periods lasting more than three thousand years.
