St. Michael of Lillo

The old church of San Miguel de Lillo located on Mount Naranco in Oviedo in the province of Asturias, in northern Spain.
According to some assumptions, in earlier times, the Roman Catholic Church was part of the palace complex. This is a very long-standing building, which was consecrated by King Ramiro I of Asturias back in 848 year. To this day in its original form is preserved western part of the building.
In 1985, St. Michael's Church was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The church is open for tours daily except Mondays.
