Columbus House
Columbus named the house museum in La Vegeta Spanish city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, on the island of Gran Canaria, in an archipelago of the Canary Islands.
Old house, which has a museum once belonged to the governor of the island. In 1492 this building lived a few days of Christopher Columbus - the famous Spanish explorer, while traveling to the New World. In his honor and named the Museum of Discovery.
The museum is quite extensive, it exhibits housed in 12 rooms, two courtyards and basement. Here you can see a variety of items, original and reconstructed, which are related to travel navigators. The whole floor of the museum is dedicated to the expeditions of Columbus.
Museum "Columbus House" is open to visitors daily. Hours: Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 19:00, weekends from 9:00 to 15:00.
