Paul Cezanne. Exhibition of the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Spain, Madrid
First major retrospective of the French artist, painter Paul Cezanne opened at the Museum Thyssen-Bornemisza February 4, 2014.
49 paintings and watercolors 9 especially for this exhibition provided a well-known museums and private collectors from around the world, including the U.S., Australia and Japan.
The exposition will be divided into 5 parts. The first part will be only one painting dedicated to "Portrait of a Peasant". It is the only portrait in the exhibition and that the artist put into it some mystical sense.
Subject to the second section - the winding, dirt roads, which were a symbol for the creator way, expectations and surprises. Remaining three parts store works devoted to paintings depicting bathers, mountain ranges and landscapes.
